Keith was born in Saskatchewan but has lived all his adult life in Alberta. He has been married for 37 years, and has three grown boys and two grandchildren. Airdrie was home from 1980 to 2005, at which time he and his family moved to Sylvan Lake, due to a transfer with United Safety to their shop in Red Deer. He worked in the Safety industry for 23 years. He now works for Bidell Gas Compression, as retirement “was not all what it was cracked up to be!”
He was President of the Chamber of Commerce in Airdrie for two years in the early 90’s, and was President of the Jaycees (a junior partner to the Chamber) in the late 1980’s. He was active in all aspects of community in Airdrie, and owned and operated two businesses there.
He and his family have owned their lake property since 1992, and now reside in the Village of Sunbreaker Cove full time, and absolutely love the community and its people.
Keith has a keen interest in this community he calls home year around. He is known by many for his willingness to dig in and help. He can often be found walking the streets of the village as he keeps his finger on the pulse of the community. He has a real passion for ensuring we all do what we can to safeguard the health of the lake and the vibrancy of the community. There is nowhere he would rather be which makes him an ideal and available candidate to be on council.
He joins many of us in applauding the efforts of our current council in doing a good job in the past years, and looks forward to joining and helping in any capacity.
